Dana Elazar-Halevi is a children's author, translator and editor. She has published fifteen books for children and YA, eight of which in the series Secret Mission – spy thrillers about a team of teenagers working for the Mossad. Other books include the series Or Vs. Paz – adventure books about a rivalry between two schools, which has been adapted to a TV series set to air on Nickelodeon Israel. All her books are highly acclaimed best-sellers.
She won the Dvora Omer Award for Children's Books issued by the Ministry of Culture for two of her books, and the Ha'Pinkas Award for Outstanding Book for Young Readers. Five of her books are included in Israel's list of recommended books issued by the Ministry of Education.
Dana has held various positions in Israel’s leading publishing houses. She headed the translated fiction department at Kinneret-Zmora-Bitan and the nonfiction department at Keter Publishing House, and served as the editor of Ma’ariv’s literary section. She also teaches book editing at Tel Aviv University.
Dana holds a bachelor's degree in Arabic literature and Middle Eastern Studies and a master's degree in the History of Education, both from Tel Aviv University.
She lives in Tel Aviv with her husband and two children.
